Course Overview & Learning Objectives

This course focuses on building practical skills for working with teams or work groups experiencing ongoing, multi-incident conflict. Alongside skills practice, participants will learn to:

  • Understand a comprehensive process for assessing and intervening in complex team conflict.

  • Conduct a team or workplace assessment, including engaging with key stakeholders.

  • Develop written assessment reports and formulate clear, actionable recommendations for next steps.

  • Apply a range of intervention approaches, including one-to-one coaching, interpersonal mediation, and group processes, to address presenting issues and improve team functioning.

  • Work effectively with leaders to support continued team health and development after the third-party facilitator’s role has ended.

  • Strengthen interpersonal listening, leadership, and assertiveness skills in the role of a third-party facilitator.
