Leading Group Assessment and Intervention

 This 5-day course focuses on how to conduct work team assessments and design interventions to assist the group in addressing their challenges.  This comprehensive course guides you through the initial intake call to closing the engagement.  It also walks you through a series of possible interventions that could be used depending on the challenges the group is experiencing.  The course is built on a case study where participants can experience and practice certain elements of the process.

Course objectives:

In conjunction with skills training, this training is designed to:

· Learn a comprehensive process on the different elements of working with a teams/work group experiencing multi-incident conflict.

· Learn how to conduct the assessment including interacting with the key stake holders resulting in a report and recommendations for next steps.

· Understand a range of intervention techniques from 1-1 coaching, interpersonal mediation and group processes to support addressing the presenting issues to lead to resolution of conflict and better team functioning. 

· Improve interpersonal listening, leadership, and assertiveness skills in the role of a third-party facilitator.
