Sue Hemphill

Sue Hemphill, is currently the Principal consultant at Healthy Hive Consultants.  She has been involved with the not for profit, government and private sectors for over 20 years, in a variety of diverse roles.

Sue is a certified trainer, course developer and writer.  She has been a practicing professional mediator since 1996.  She has worked as an Executive Director of two not for profits and a grant-maker or funding officer. She has worked as a Human Rights Officer and advocate.  Her background and training in the arts and cultural sector makes her a uniquely creative and animating and engaging educator and community and organizational developer.  She has an extensive and diverse network and strong reputation as a trainer, mediator / facilitator, and program developer.

Her years of experience developing and managing cross sector collaboration projects and programs enables her to have a well developed practice and finely honed model to teach.  Her wholistic and integrated perspective and approach whether it is at the organizational or community level enable her to have vision and attention at the micro and macro levels.

Her management skills and experience is strong and has come from being a Board member on two organizations, an ED of two organizations, a management consultant, and a grass roots community mobilizer and organizer.  The range of management she has includes: financial (fundraising and budgeting and forecasting), human resource management (hiring, performance review, contract negotiation, training and development, mentoring), conflict resolution, and program and organizational development.
