Mike Labun

Mike has been working in the field of conflict resolution and mediation since 1995. Mike's mediation history includes supervisor/employee, workplace teams, customer/vendor, family, community and victim/offender disputes.

Mike has led workshops from St. John's to Iqaluit to Victoria. As a trainer, he uses his experiences as the director at a boys camp, as a family mediator, doing HR in a manufacturing environment, working at an inner-city drop-in, as a University professor, and as the leader of two faith communities to illustrate the material.  Mike has an interactive and engaging style that helps participants see how they can incorporate workshop material into their own environments.  Mike is co-author of the book, The Culture Question: How to Create a Workplace Where People Like to Work.

Mike believes that much can be gained by face-to-face communication, and the preparation for such conversations can make the difference between success and failure.

Mike has a Masters of Data Science (2019), a Masters of Ministry (2008) a Certificate in Mediation Skills (1997). For extra practice in conflict resolution, Mike got married (1996) and raised four children (1998, 2000, 2001 & 2004)!
